Last date for abstract submission extended till : October 07th 2024
Intimations regarding the final selection will be sent by October 15, 2024.
Final PPT Submission deadline : OCT 24th 5pm.
PAPER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Registration for BASICS & BEYOND dermatology conference is mandatory.
The decision of the judges shall be final and binding and no further evaluation will be entertained.
Document (file) and should be named as *****--title.ppt (where **** *stands for the name of the presenting author
There should not be any identifying details such as affiliations/name of institution in the article. Only presenter name should be kept.
Prior registration is mandatory for consideration of paper in any format.
Duration for papers – 6 minutes.
For award papers, format should be in Studies and Case reports.
Studies should have a structured format: Aims and objectives, Materials and methods, Results and Conclusions.
Case reports & Case series format: only brief summary of the case to be submitted.
All presentations should be in MS power point (ppt. 2010 or later).
No videos or animations are allowed.
Presenter’s laptops or projectors are not allowed for presentation.
Maximum number of slides is 16 and each slide should contain a maximum of 6 – 8 line with 8 – 10 words per line.
Questions are allowed only from judges.
POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Registration for BASICS & BEYOND dermatology conference is mandatory.
Only posters in JPG formats can be accepted. (Image file)
All e-posters should have one page only, in landscape.
Image file should be done in Widescreen 16:9 and select ensure fit
In case you are using Photoshop to create your poster, you can also set resolution, which should be at least 200dpi.
All E-posters should be prepared in UK English.
To improve clarity, use either light font on a dark background or dark font on a light background.
Video or audio files and animations are not permitted.
Total file size should not exceed 6 MB.
The narration time for your poster should not exceed 5 minutes.
Image is permitted including title, references and acknowledgement.
No change in the presentation will be permitted once submitted.
Personal laptops are not permitted for E - poster presentation.
You can add author name, but do not add any other affiliation to college
All abstracts must be submitted in English using the font Times New Roman, with a font size of 12 and double spacing.
To ensure blinded review, no identifying features such as names of authors, collaborators, hospitals, medical colleges, clinics or places should be listed in the title or text page of the abstract.
Author details and their affiliation(s) should be entered while doing the submission.
Title should be written using ‘Sentence case’ and should be brief and self-explanatory.
Avoid abbreviations in the title.
Word limit of the abstract is 250 words. (Excluding title, authors, their affiliations etc.)
Structure of the abstract for original study should be:
Background, Aims and objectives, Materials and Methods,Results, limitations and conclusions.
Structure of the abstract for case reports and case series should be:
Introduction, Case report/series, Discussion
Please also submit an unstructured ( without headings) summary of your research work in less than 100 words.
Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting. Abstracts should report on results of truly original research. The proposal will be reviewed according to the scientific content and ethical considerations. Please ensure that the abstract contains original matter neither published prior in print or electronic media or presented in previous conferences.
Refrain from using keywords, graphs, figures, tables or references in the abstract.
Conflict of interest statement and declaration of conflict is mandatory.
Use generic names of drugs or its active pharmacological content, avoiding commercial names of drugs/companies.
Limit the use of abbreviations and acronyms in the abstract.
Abstracts may be reproduced as such, therefore onus of ensuring proper language, factual accuracy & responsibility of avoiding plagiarism lies with the authors.
Non-adherence to any guideline may result in an automatic rejection of the abstract.
Once uploaded successfully, you will get a communication acknowledgement.
The abstract should be submitted to the submission platform only after registering for the conference. No abstract submission shall be entertained by any other means.
